CNPC and Sinopec to Sell Sulfur at Preferential Prices to Key Phosphate Fertilizer Producers, Supporting Stable Supply and Price Stability of Phosphate Fertilizers
On the afternoon of December 25, relevant state authorities convened a special meeting on ensuring the stable supply of fertilizers, bringing together PetroChina, Sinopec, the China Sulphuric Acid Industry Association, the China Phosphate and Compound Fertilizer Industry Association, the China Agricultural Input Distribution Association, and other organizations.

A group standard drafted under the leadership of the China Sulphuric Acid Industry Association has been selected as a “Typical Case of Application and Promotion of MIIT Group Standards” for 2024.
In January 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the “List of Typical Cases for the Application and Promotion of Group Standards in 2024” (MIIT Science and Technology Letter [2025] No. 19), under which T/CPCIF 0223-2022, “Technical Specification for the Production of Sulfuric Acid from Industrial Sulfur-Containing By-products and Sulfur-Containing Wastes,” drafted under the leadership of our association, was selected.
